As most of you know, back in October I wrote and published my own book, entitled The Rose Garden. Since then, many have asked me about the process, and multiple people have said something along the lines of, “I wish I could be published, but I don’t have the time/experience.”
Well… I’m excited to announce that I have devised a plan to help everyone who wants to become an author!
Introducing the Breathe Pages Literary Magazine!
I’m going to publish my own literary magazine that anyone and everyone can be a part of! All you have to do is submit your (original) work. **The work you submit MUST be appropriate for all ages. I have the right to refuse any work based on content. This means your work must be clean of graphic violence, sex, drugs, and explicit language.**
You can submit work of any kind, including poetry, short stories, and any other prose pieces of any genre. The work you submit cannot be more than 5,000 words. By submitting, you are agreeing to allow me to correct any grammatical errors in your piece. If you would like to submit any artwork or photography, please feel free to do so! I will be personally designing the cover and will use one of the submitted photographs.
What is it?
The Breathe Pages Literary Magazine will be a collection of stories, poetry, and even artwork from anyone who wants to submit their work.
Where can I buy it?
The magazine will be on sale at Lulu.com and (eventually) Amazon.com.
Do I have to pay to be a part of it?
Nope! It’s free.
How much will it cost?
The magazine will be for sale online for $15 (plus shipping). If you know me personally, I will have some copies you can buy from me to save on shipping.
Do I retain the copyright to my submitted piece?
Yup! There’s no way I would take that from you. All pieces you submit will have your name attached to them.
